Pam Walker, NASCIO’s Director of Government Affairs has announced her resignation and left NASCIO on September 14, 2012. In November of 2008, Pam was named NASCIO’s first director of government affairs and we opened our office in the Hall of States in Washington, D.C. From this uncertain startup, Pam’s efforts and contributions have certainly raised the advocacy efforts and visibility of NASCIO. She expanded and strengthened both our Congressional affairs, federal agency relations and strategic alliances. Our DC Fly-In has grown in importance and attendance each year.
Pam is joining TechAmerica, the leading voice for the technology industry and a strategic association partner with NASCIO, so I expect we’ll continue to have regular interaction with her. We’ll miss Pam‘s enthusiasm and positive nature. We wish her the best in the future.
