Michigan and Illinois MMIS Partnership
The Times Weekly reported last Tuesday that Illinois will be joining
in Michigan's cloud MMIS system. Through the Illinois Michigan Program Alliance
for Core Technology (IMPACT) project, Illinois will be updating its MMIS,
utilizing Michigan's system infrastructure. The partnership will generate
savings for both states by avoiding funding for a stand-alone system. This
partnership will cut down maintenance and operation costs by 20 percent for
Michigan with the added potential for five year savings for Michigan and
Illinois of $10 million and $57 million respectively.
