After more than seven years of dedicated service, Shawn Vaughn, NASCIO's Membership and Communication Coordinator is leaving the association for a new position. She's not going far, but certainly moving up! Shawn has recently been named the new association director for NASCA - the National Association of State Chief Administrators.
Shawn's tenure with NASCIO has been marked by significant association growth and accomplishments, especially in the areas of corporate member relations, sponsorships and media agreements. We wish Shawn the best and know she'll be great in her new role. Since NASCA is a strategic partner, we'll continue to interact with her on a regular basis. I may even allow her to attend a staff meeting so she doesn't miss the old gang so much.
Meghan Penning, who has been supporting NASCIO in a project coordinator role, has been promoted to the Membership and Communication Coordinator position. This is a smooth transition - Meghan knows the association well and is also the editor of our monthly newsletter. Welcome Meghan!
